 In compliance with the USA Hockey "Safe Sport Initiative"... 

All MANAGERS, VOLUNTEERS, and LOCKER ROOM MONITORS for all levels are required to complete and submit the following:

USA Hockey Registraion
SAHA Registration
Background Check
SafeSport Training

A GENDER APPROPRIATE locker room monitor MUST be in the  the locker room AT ALL TIMES --INCLUDING during pre/post game coach's meetings with the players.

Complete Background Screening | Every other Year

Complete SafeSport Training | Annually

ALL VOLUNTEERS are required to complete the SafeSport Training program every year.   All PARENTS are encouraged to complete the training program.

The checking log and personal expense documents are meant to be an example of a way to track income and personal expenses in you team account.  They are not meant to be a detailed list of how to run your team.

SAHA Manager's Handbook

The Manager's Handbook is a LIVING document.  It will be continually modified as contacts, policies, and practices change.  Please refer to the Handbook as needed but do not hesitate to contact the Board with any questions, suggestions, or concerns.

Changing Practice Ice to a Scrimmage?

If you will be using scheduled HOME PRACTICE ICE as a SCRIMMAGE instead, email SAHA Ice Scheduler, John Celski (ice@stillwaterhockey.net) so he can update your team calendar and ensure locker rooms are assigned to each team. 


Team Sponsorship Requests

If your team chooses to request sponsorships from local businesses below is a template letter that has been drafted for use by all traveling teams. If you have any questions, feel free to contact any member of the Playmakers.

Game Day- Staff Responsibilities

  • All managers should plan ahead and get your parents signed up to work the scheduled games.
  • HOME team is responsible for providing a resource to run the clock (see clock simulator at bottom of this page).
  • HOME team is responsible for providing a resource to work a penalty box.
  • HOME team provides the iPad and scores the game with Gamesheet.
  • VISITING team is responsible for having a resource work the penalty box. 
  • ONLY volunteers are allowed to be in the scorekeepers/penalty box area. Volunteers should make arrangements for supervision of children as they are NOT allowed in the scorekeepers area.

Concussion Protocol

In the unfortunate event one of your players suffers a concussion, this form has to be filled out and returned to Paula Walther before the player can resume physical activity.
