In an effort to maintain the health and safety of the players, families, spectators, coaches, staff, and officials participating in events hosted by the Stillwater Area Hockey Association (SAHA), the following best practices have been adopted with the guidance of the Minnesota Department of Health, Minnesota Hockey, USA Hockey, the St. Croix Valley Rec Center (SCVRC), and our various arena partners. Compliance with these guidelines is required by all to help mitigate the transmission of COVID-19.
These changes from our normal routines will help us keep our communities healthy and our kids playing the game they love.
Example Symptom Checker
All players and coaches must fill the SAHA COVID Symptom Checker prior to stepping on the ice for all practices, scrimmages and games. Each team has a separate link to fill out the online form. Please check with your team manager or head coach to get the link to the correct symptom checker. Please take time to review the questions in the symptom checker, because if you plan to answer "YES" to any of the questions we politely ask you to stay off the ice.
NOTE: In a case of a household member has tested positive or the player/coach was notified of a possible exposure outside of Hockey and has been instructed to stay at home, we request that you email the Association COVID Manager by emailing him at firstname.lastname@example.org. If instructed to do so by MDH, the player/coach should however stay at home and not attend any team events for the recommended 14-day time. They should also notify the head coach / team manager. Under no circumstances will a player/coach be penalized for missing team activities due to following of MDH guidance.
