The SAHA Annual Board of Directors Election is scheduled for Wednesday, April 24, 2024, during our annual meeting. 

The following members have accepted nominations for 2024-2026 board positions:

Officers:

• President: Matt Tuccitto, Andy Dombrovski
• Secretary: Lesley Teigen

Directors:

• Director of Girls Hockey: Justin Kaufenberg
• Director Off-Ice Hockey and Community Affairs: Paula Walther

Each person elected to one of the positions listed above will serve a two-year term from May 2024 – April 2026. Active members of SAHA, in good standing, are eligible to run for board positions. Board members are required to attend board meetings throughout the year (typically the 4th Monday of each month) where recommendations, discussions and decisions are made. In addition, board members are assigned roles and responsibilities that will require time outside of board meetings to execute the board’s agenda for the year.

Nomination Process and Election Timeline

Members interested in serving on the board need to be nominated by an active SAHA member.

• The nominator should submit the candidate’s nomination to the Nomination Committee Chair at least 35 days (by Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at 11:59pm CDT) prior to the annual meeting.

  • Interested candidates should contact a member of the nomination committee via email with any questions or inquiries.
  • Nomination Committee: John Priester, Justin Fatheree, Ed Souter, and Karla Lunan
     
• The submission period for candidate interest applications will close at 11:59pm CDT on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. There are no exceptions.
   
• The Nomination Committee shall nominate at least one person for each office to be filled and report on Thursday, March 21, 2024.
   
• Monday, April 1, 2024: Candidates announced.
   
• Friday, April 5, 2024: Campaign letters are due to John Priester (priester.john@gmail.com) via email.
   
• Monday, April 8, 2024: Letters will be posted on stillwaterhockey.net/boardnominations
  •  In addition, candidates will be provided with questions relevant to the position they are seeking.
  • The responses to these questions will be posted on stillwaterhockey.net/boardnominations prior to the elections.
     
• Wednesday, April 24, 2024: The SAHA annual election will be held from 6-8pm during the Board Meeting. Election results will be tallied, and the winners will be announced later that evening. Please note the April board meeting is on a Wednesday.
